Had New Corian Counter Top installed Today by Blasius Inc. - 7343 Buell Rd - Vassar, MI 48768. They did a nice job But they left me a heck of a mess outside in my wife's flowers landscaping and everywhere else (see the white stuff in pictures)

If you know anyone that works for this company ( Blasius Inc - Vassar, MI) ask them is this what you call a well done job or were they in a hurry, it was Friday Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad Thumb down

That sucks! A shop vac should take care of the lawn, but seperating the shavings from your mulch is a different story. Good luck. Look at the brite side though. You'll have a white Christmas in July. Confused

Too bad , pretty hard to clean that mess up. Sure seems they would of picked a different spot for doing their work. Might be worth giving the company a call and ask them about it. They must have had walleye on the brain.

I also think a shopvac will work on the grass. I am not sure if it will decompose or not? I would be giving them a call and having them come out to check it out. A shopvac next to the blade when cutting will collect a lot of the dust. Might want to suggest that to them before it happends to someone else. Sorry for your mess!

I might have to think about setting up the Christmas tree, I have more white stuff on the ground now then back on Dec. 25 Razz
I tried calling the company 'Blasius Inc.' Friday, but they were closed for the weekend so I email the company and sent them a link to the pictures.
Waiting to hear back Fingers Crossed

Thats not acceptable at all.I hope you didn't pay them yet. I would have vacuum sidewalk, replace all flowers and mulch and then have them give you a HUGH refund for pain and suffering. Call Lee Free.

Plastic does not decompose, that is what separates a good company from a GREAT company.

I sent them a email with a link to this post, here is reply:

I apologize for the mess and the inconvenience. I will speak with that
install crew and see to it that it doesn't happen again. Typically we
don't have to trim anything on site, but it is my understanding that the
cabinets were changed out after the template which likely led to the
need to trim. When we have to trim, we try to do so outside so the dust
doesn't get in the house or garage, but the flakes are very light and
even the slightest breeze can blow them into the lawn or flower bed as
is what happened in your case. The installers definitely could have
done better at cleaning up and typically a light pass with a sweep broom
over the flakes causes them to disintegrate into inert white dust. The
first light rain will likely do that as well, but if you like I can have
someone stop by to take care of it for you.

Again I apologize for the trouble. Please let me know when I can have a
crew stop by.

Thanks,

Mike Damm

I told them we did not make any cabinet changes which is true,
so he emailed me back and sent a crew over in 30 minutes to clean up.

Which they did a poor to fair job and even went to the store to change out the mulch we put down a few weeks earlier. check out these pictures below.

They might have tried to fix the problem but in my view it looks like another crappy job by the pros at Blasius Thumb down Thumb down Thumb down Thumb down

Hard to believe! Must have been the original crew back to do the work.
What kind of glue do they use? I think I'ld be sending those pictures back in just to see what the response is.

I was wondering where my pile of old mix mulch from all my trees went. Thanks for letting me know that you now own it. They will come back again and spray paint the old to look like the new. Good luck
