Left work and went right to the new property to try the first sit. Had a tom and a hen on the downwind side of the woods but they was not to be called in. Went to the second property and sat on the downwind side of the woods with 2 hens and a jake setup. Did not take the blind out just hunkered down next to a blowdown and a tree with the wifes crossbow. Sat there for one series of calls and had 2 toms come in at 8 yards and took this one right thru the heart. He only went about 25 yards. He was 18# and had a 9 1/2" beard with only one 3/4" spur and a nub for the other one.

| Yep real nice beard with the other tom had about the same size. Wish I could have seen his spurs to see if they was any bigger. Maybe the wife will connect on him in a little over a week from now. |
